Vasas Football Club is a Hungarian professional football club currently based in the Angyalföld district of Budapest. Founded in March 1911, they currently compete in Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Hungary's top tier, and play their home games at the 5,054-capacity Illovszky Rudolf Stadion.
Throughout their history, Vasas have won 6 top-flight titles, 4 Magyar Kupa titles and 6 Mitropa Cups. In 1958, they were semi-finalists in the European Cup but lost 4–2 to Spanish giants Real Madrid. This makes them one of Hungary's most successful clubs.
