Statistics of duels between both clubs

In the whole history Arsenal has won 78 matches of the 216. There are up to now 47 draws and Manchester United has won so far 91 matches. The first match between the two clubs was on October 13th, 1894. The most recent result is a tie: 1-1. That match was played on 28 April 2013 in the Emirates Stadium. The next match is on 10 November 2013. The largest victory is of Manchester United, a 8-2 win. Ryan Giggs has played the match the most times: 47 times.



Arsenal bought this summer only on the transfermarkt Mesut Özil (50 million). They bought him also on one of the latest days of the transferperiod. In the winter they bought Nacho Monreal for 10 million. Arsenal sold this summer the players Chamakh, Gervinho and Mannone for a total of 11,6 million.

Manchester United

Also Manchester United bought this summer one very good player: Marouane Fellaini (32,4 million). Further they bought Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace F.C. for 11,8 million Euros. No big player left the club.



In the team of Arsenal are a few very good talents: Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Carl Jenkinson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Wilshere is one of the best English talents at the moment and plays as a central midfielder. Gibbs is a left-back and Carl Jenkinson is also a defender. Ramsey is at the moment the man in form on the midfield and Oxlade-Chamberlain is Arsenals hope for the balls from the sides.

Manchester United

Manchester United is famous of his talents. Also this year they have some really good talents: Rafael Pereira da Silva, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Adnan Januzaj, Jesse Lingard, Wilfried Zaha and Danny Welbeck. Rafael is the first right-back of the team. Jones, Evans and Smalling have to compete which each other who is the third central defender. Januzaj is the man in form on the midfield. Lingard and Zaha are talents for the future and Welbeck is one of the central attackers of the team.

Arsenal has a team with talents, experienced players and some massive players. A good combination of all facets. Manchester United has maybe too many experienced players in their squad. This will result in less speed in the games, but more experience will also result in better thinking in the field and more help for the talents.
