Steve Borg (born 15 May 1988) is a Maltese professional footballer who plays as a Defender for Maltese Premier League team Ħamrun Spartans F.C. and the Malta national football team. He captains Ħamrun Spartans F.C and the Maltese National Team.
He started his professional journey in 2005, when he signed for Mosta, who at that time were playing in the Maltese First Division, now in the Maltese Premier League. He played at Mosta until 2009. In 2009, he signed for Valletta F.C., being able to play 114 games, and bagging 7 goals as a Defender. At the six years with Valletta, he was able to win three Maltese Premier League Titles, and two Maltese FA Cup. After these succesful 6 years, he had a 1 year spell with Aris Limassol FC, in Cyprus. He went back to Valletta F.C, spending another 4 years there, winning 2 more Maltese Premier League and 1 more Maltese FA Cup.
In 2020, he signed with Gżira United with a 5 year contract, and that same year he won the Maltese Player of the Year 2019-20 for his performances with Valletta F.C the previous season. After 2 years, he moved to Ħamrun Spartans F.C.. He won a Maltese Premier League and a Maltese Super Cup at the club.
