San Diego Loyal Soccer Club is an American professional association football team based in the city of San Diego, California. The club was founded on 20 June 2019 by Sacramento Republic co-owner Warren Smith and former United States international Landon Donovan. From 2020, they will compete in the USL Championship, one of the second tiers of the American soccer pyramid. They will play their home games at the Torero Stadium which has a capacity of 6,000 with plans to expand to 8,000.
