Ryan Matthew Haynes (born 27 September 1995) is an English professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for EFL League Two side Newport County.
Raised in Daventry, Northamptonshire, Haynes was spotted by Coventry City at a youth tournament in Rugby, Warwickshire. With senior left-backs at the club unavailable through injury and suspension, Haynes made his professional debut on 6 April 2013 in a 1–1 League One game, playing the whole game of a draw with Brentford. Haynes marked his debut by vomiting on the pitch due to nerves. During the 2013/14 season he made two further appearances for Coventry City, starting in a 1–1 draw with Shrewsbury Town and as a late substitute in a 2–2 draw with Crawley Town.
