Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins (born 28 October 1984) is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a striker for American club Seattle Sounders, and the Nigeria national team.
He began his senior career in Italy with Inter Milan, winning one Serie A title before joining Premier League club Newcastle United in 2006, and then German club VfL Wolfsburg in 2009. He joined Seattle Sounders in 2013 after leaving Spanish team Levante.
A Nigerian international since 2004, he represented them at three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
