Morgan Schneiderlin (born 8 November 1989) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for French club Nice and the France national team.
Schneiderlin began his career with Strasbourg, before moving to England to join Southampton in June 2008. He made 260 appearances across all competitions in seven seasons at the club, and was in the teams which earned consecutive promotions to reach the Premier League. He joined Manchester United for a potential £27 million fee in July 2015, but left for Everton in January 2017 for a fee of up to £24 million. In June 2020, he joined French side Nice for an undisclosed fee.
After representing the nation at all levels from Under-16 onwards, Schneiderlin made his senior international debut in 2014, and later that year played for France at the World Cup.
