Marcos Aoás Corréa, better known as Marquinhos, is a Brazilian footballer, centre-back and captain of French club PSG, and a member of the Brazil national team. In addition to the position of the central defender, he was sometimes used as a right-back and defensive midfielder.

Early life

Marcos was born on May 14, 1994 in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. The father, Alvaro, is the owner of a beer bar in the player's hometown. Not the only football player in the family, his older brother Luan played in the youth teams of São Paulo FC, later helping Marcos with career development, while another older brother, Moreno, was able to build a full-fledged football career. In addition to brothers, Marquinhos also has a sister, Riama.
