Liam David Ian Cooper (born 30 August 1991) is a professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Sheffield Wednesday. Born in England, he plays for the Scotland national team. Although normally playing as a centre-back, he can also function as a left-back.

The current captain of Leeds, he led the team to promotion to the Premier League in the 2019-20 season, the first Leeds captain to do this since fellow Scotsman Gordon Strachan in 1990.

Cooper has represented Scotland at senior, under-19 and under-17 level. He received his first call-up to the senior squad on 10 March 2016 for a friendly against Denmark but did not play. He made his debut during a 1-2 Euro 2020 qualifying defeat to Russia on 6 September 2019.
