The Italian national football team is the national association football team of Italy and is controlled by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), the governing body for football in Italy. The current team head coach is Roberto Mancini. Italy's home matches are played at various stadiums throughout Italy,
Italy is one of the most successful national teams in the history of the World Cup, having won four titles in 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006. Italy has also won a European Championship title in 1968. The team is known as gli Azzurri (the Blues). In recent years, Italy has seen a revival under Roberto Mancini after previous failure to qualify to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Under the command of Mancini, Italy had a perfect UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying record, finished first in their 2020–21 UEFA Nations League A group, and finally went on to win their second European Championship title in the 2020 tournament. As of July 2021, Italy is on an unbeaten run in 34 matches, with their last loss came in a UEFA Nations League match against Portugal.
