The Iceland national football team is controlled by the Football Association of Iceland and represents iceland in international competitions.
Team Iceland scored its gratest international successes in the mid and late 2010's, qualifying for the 2016 UEFA European Championship in France and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It also reached the qualifying playoffs for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, losing to Croatia.
