Club career

Cerezo Osaka

Hotaru Yamaguchi was promoted to the first team of Cerezo Osaka in 2009. He began to get substantial playing time for the club in the year 2011. He scored his first goal against the Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds. He played with Japan on the 2012 Summer Olympics and he received his first callup for the senior national team in 2013.
