Bray Wanderers FC is an Irish professional association football club based in the town of Bray, County Wicklow. They currently compete in the second tier of Irish football, the League of Ireland First Division. Their home games are played at the 6,000-capacity Carlisle Grounds.

Bray were founded in 1942 in their current form. They entered the Athletic Union League division 3.In 1948 Bray reached the division 1. In 1951 and 54 bray won the FAI Junior Cup and entered the Leinster Senior League in 1955. Bray won the FAI Intermediate Cup in 1956 and 58. Bray won the LSL in 1959 and went on a three season winning streak of the league before rejoining AUL. In 1976 Bray won the FAI Metropolitan Cup.

In 1985 Bray were elected to enter the League of Ireland First Division. That year Bray won the league and got promoted to the League of Ireland Premier Division before getting relegated back down. Bray won the FAI Cup in 1990 and 1999. In 1990 they played Trabzonspor and lost 1-3 on aggregate and they played Grasshoppers in 1999 losing 0-8. Bray were promoted to the premier division in 2004 and have remained their since despite getting relegated in 2009 the demise of Cork City F.C. allowed bray to remain in the league. Bray have survived numerous relegation play offs including a penalty shoot out win over Monaghan United in 2009 and a 5-4 win over Longford Town F.C. in 2013.

Bray have a small home following of about 400 home fans per game. The bray fan club is called Na Fanaithe. Bray have always had relatively small attendances compared to other Irish Teams.
