Birkir Bjarnason (born 27 May 1988) is an Icelandic football midfielder who plays for Swiss club FC Basel and the Iceland national team. At UEFA Euro 2016, he scored Iceland's first ever goal in an international tournament during a 1-1 draw with Portugal.
