Brighton & Hove Albion moved second in the Premier League table despite failing to win at home to bottom club Southampton.

New Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy watched Kevin Schade net a hat-trick as Brentford thumped the Foxes to underline the size of the task he faces.

Daniel Munoz scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Crystal Palace denied Newcastle victory at Selhurst Park to move out of the bottom three.

Chris Wood scored his ninth Premier League goal of the season as Nottingham Forest got back to winning ways against Ipswich Town.

Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert became the first player in 67 years to score a hat-trick of penalties in an English top-flight game as his treble saw off Wolves and piled the pressure on home boss Gary O'Neil.

Arsenal moved second in the Premier League after a frenetic victory over West Ham at London Stadium in which seven goals were scored in the first half.

Cole Palmer shone in a comfortable Chelsea win over an Aston Villa side whose worrying winless run extended to eight matches.

Ruben Amorim collected his first Premier League victory in emphatic fashion as his Manchester United side easily put away lowly Everton at Old Trafford.

Inconsistency struck Tottenham Hotspur again as they were held at home by Fulham in the Premier League.

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points and heaped more misery on fading champions Manchester City with a fully deserved victory at Anfield.
