Watford arrested their four-match losing run in dramatic fashion as Vakoun Bayo's 87th-minute header snatched a fortuitous draw at relegation-threatened Cardiff City.

Newly appointed Plymouth Argyle head coach Miron Muslic saw his side get a 1-1 with Oxford United - as their new boss Gary Rowett kept his unbeaten run in the league.

Blackburn Rovers scored three second-half goals to beat Championship strugglers Portsmouth and move into the play-off positions with victory at Ewood Park.

Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford saved two Wilson Isidor penalty kicks as they played out a dramatic goalless draw with Sunderland.

Callum Robinson's two goals inspired Cardiff City to a convincing south Wales derby win over Swansea City that revitalised their bid for Championship survival.

Hull City moved out of the Championship relegation zone as Jake Cooper's unfortunate own goal earned them a vital victory over Millwall at The Den.

Teenage substitute Rayan Kolli struck a second-half winner as Queens Park Rangers inflicted a first defeat on new Plymouth Argyle head coach Miron Muslic.

Coventry City extended their unbeaten home run in the Championship to six games with a narrow victory against play-off-chasing Bristol City.

Imran Louza's first Watford goal for 18 months helped the Hornets overcome Championship strugglers Derby County to move equal on points with West Brom in the play-off places.

New boss Matt Bloomfield ended Luton Town's four-game losing streak with an encouraging goalless draw against Preston North End, but was unable to prevent his side from dropping into the Championship relegation zone.

Oxford United continued their unbeaten run under manager Gary Rowett as they beat play-off hopefuls Blackburn Rovers at the Kassam Stadium.

Harrison Burrows scored twice to send Sheffield United back to the top of the Championship as they beat Norwich City at Bramall Lane.

New West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray watched his Baggies side rescue a point - their 14th Championship draw of the season - to share the Midlands derby spoils with Stoke City.

Matt Ritchie scored twice as Portsmouth came from behind to beat play-off chasing Middlesbrough and secure a crucial three points in their battle to avoid relegation from the Championship.

Leeds United went back to the top of the Championship with a deserved 3-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
