Watford had to settle for a draw at Fulham after Aleksandar Mitrović struck late on to earn the hosts a point.

Burnley moved off the foot of the Premier League with an emphatic first win of the season over Bournemouth at Turf Moor.

Manchester City strolled to an emphatic win at Cardiff City as they moved up to second in the Premier League table.

Newcastle earned only their second point of the season as they held Crystal Palace at a rain-drenched Selhurst Park.

Second-half goals from James Maddison and Jamie Vardy saw Leicester end a run of three consecutive defeats and claim only their second win of the Premier League season.

Liverpool won a seventh straight match from the start of a season for the first time by easing past a luckless Southampton at Anfield.

João Moutinho's superb strike earned Wolves a draw at Manchester United as the newly promoted visitors continued their strong start to life in the Premier League.

Tottenham ended a run of three straight defeats by scoring in each half and holding on for a 2-1 victory at Brighton.

Chelsea's 100% start to the season came to an end as they were held to a goalless draw by West Ham in a low-key encounter at London Stadium.

Two goals in three second-half minutes gave Arsenal victory over Everton and took them up to sixth in the Premier League table.
