The 2015–16 season will be Barnsley's second consecutive season in League One following their relegation from the Championship in the 2013–14 season. Along with League One, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, League Cup and Football League Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. Barnsley were promoted to the Football League Championship, after beating Milwall 3-1 in the play off final
