İstanbul Başakşehir Futbol Kulübü is an Turkish professional football club based in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul, Turkey. Better known as İstanbul Başakşehir or due sponsorship Rams Başakşehir. The club was founded in 1990 as İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor, They first reached the highest level in Turkish Football in 2007–08. They play their home games at the Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul and are owned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The club is one of several Süper Lig franchises representing Istanbul. The 2016–17 season is İstanbul Başakşehir's eighth consecutive season in the Süper Lig and their 27th year in existence. This season, they participate in the Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup. They won their first top flight title in the 2019–20 season, which also earned them direct qualification for the group stage of UEFA Champions League on the next season.
